If you’ve recently clicked the help button from the Ultimate ISP Management software, you may have noticed a new visp.net Help File. The system of updating numerous HTML pages each time a change is made was tedious. Begging for a more modern approach, we’ve creatively adapted a Wiki to better serve you. All the exciting new features, improvements, and bug fixes that we have been adding can now be updated more quickly and on the fly by our staff and even by you.
What is a Wiki?
A wiki is a collection of Web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses them to contribute or modify content using a simplified markup language. Wikis are often used to create collaborative Web sites and to power community Web sites. The collaborative encyclopedia Wikipedia is one of the best-known wikis. Wikis are used by businesses to provide intranets and knowledge management systems. Ward Cunningham, the developer of the first wiki software, WikiWikiWeb, described it as “the simplest online database that could possibly work.” -Wikipedia
The Visp.net Wiki will be a collaborative work by the Visp.net staff and you, our partnered ISPs. We have migrated and updated the former Help File to the Visp.net Wiki. Our goal is to migrate any non-sensitive information from the support site so that it might also benefit from the features of a wiki. While all articles are publicly available, in order to modify or update an article, you will need to Create an Account. Some articles are locked to prevent vandalism and to protect your security (phishing).
We look forward to reading your contributions.
